"After Kingston was born I used the fresh frozen pieces in my smoothies and then started taking the capsules. I decided to try this "placenta business" for two main reasons--first, because I'm an older mom and read it could help with breast milk production and secondly, I ended up getting IVF done and was on hormones medication my entire pregnancy and my hormone levels and fertility were perfect before starting. I thought this might help balance it out after he was born and I suddenly stopped taking hormonal supplements.

I took them for a couple weeks and honestly I was so tired and frantic over being a new mom- I just slowing started forgetting about them. Which was easy because I had stopped breastfeeding and had zero hormonal or emotional issues.

...That's until a couple weeks ago - four months out. Postpartum depression and anxiety hit me like a ton of bricks - literally almost over night. I couldn't drive, I couldn't go to the grocery store, I wasn't bathing-- I was crying so much, I'm surprised I had any tears left. I wasn't doing anything except for taking care of my sweet Kingston. I do not normally cry nor do I EVER have anxiety. I phoned a new Dr. to make an appointment. which was almost 3 weeks out, so I thought I'd just try taking my placenta capsules while I waited... I thought... It was worth a try. I took 2 capsules 3 times a day and within 4 days I felt AMAZING. It all just literally went away.
